About UsHow It All Got Started

It all started in 1999, when owner, Kelly started a Family Daycare in her home. Every night when she would put her son to bed she would say, "Good Night, Sweet Angel." So when deciding to open a daycare it only seemed appropriate, this would be our name. After successfully running a group family daycare for 5 years and out growing the home, it was time to venture out.

The opportunity arose to expand by opening a Daycare and Preschool in Lockport, NY which opened to the community in June 2003. The center started out with a capacity of 54 children ranging from 6 weeks to 12 years of age until recently, in July of 2010 when we expanded adding three more classrooms increasing capacity to 78.

In 2011 we decided it was time to open a second center and continue to offer quality childcare and education to the children here in our communities. In September, 2011 we opened the doors to a second location, located in North Tonawanda, NY, also providing care for children 6 weeks to 12 years of age.

In 2015 a 3rd location was opened up to serve the Tonawanda and the surrounding communities on Sheridan Drive.

Our goal is to offer a "Fun Learning Experience" for children of all ages, aiding in the foundation of social and academic success.

Our Team

At Sweet Angels Daycare and Preschool, all of our staff is highly trained and experienced. All of our lead teachers are New York State certified, and have extensive experience working in early childhood education. A certified Literacy Specialist is on staff to work with children to improve their crucial early reading skills which will help them to succeed in Kindergarten and beyond. Monthly professional development training is done at each location, because staying up to date on age-appropriate activities, and the latest teaching and childcare techniques is something all Sweet Angels employees find important.

In addition to all of the academic training and certifications, Sweet Angels employees are also trained in many ways to keep your child safe and healthy. A full time nurse is on staff, and all teachers are certified in CPR and the use of an AED. Teachers are also MAT trained, which means that they can administer both over the counter and prescription medications. So, if your child is sick, you know they will be able to receive the medication they need without you having to leave work to administer it to them, and with all teachers being certified, you know that the medication is being given by someone your child feels comfortable with.

Most importantly, our staff is made up of caring individuals whose main goal is to make Sweet Angels your child’s home away from home. From a warm smile that greets them in the morning, to a hug after a boo-boo, you know that your child is being cared for by someone who wants the best for them at all times!
